5/ Bike Tour & River Cruise

Only on a bike you can view all the different faces of Bratislava and see remnants of Iron Curtain and bunkers from WW 2. The tour starts in the Old Town continues with a ride through the oldest town park and the new town featuring Petržalka – Slovakia´s largest communist housing estate. On our tour of discovery we will explore the western part of the city bordering Austria and known for the monumental ruins of Devin Castle and the unspoiled countryside of the floodplains of the Morava River and memorials from VW2 – bunkers Checoslovak version of Maginot Line and Cold War – little open air museum of the Iron Curtain. See the only desert – the sand pit of Sandberg with fossils boasting breathtaking view of the river Morava and Devin Castle. Afterwards relax on board a sightseeing boat while enjoying the splendid views of the city and learning even more from your guide as you float down the Danube to the city centre.
Route description: an easy trip; length – 35 km on bike paths, with only5 km on roads with light traffic.
